The chart illustrates how the total number of telephone calls in three categories has changed in Uk between the time period of 1995 and 2002. Over the span of 7 years, there were new trends in the type of calls made, especially with the advance of mobile phones. The number of calls made over local fixed lines has shown an exponential growth from 1995 to 1997 when it reached the top with a total 90 billion minutes in 1998 and 1999. While the amount of calls over local fixed lines began to drop after 1998, Mobile calls started to pick up with around 45 billion minutes at the end of 2002. Through out these years, the calls over the international fixed lines showed minimal change. Overall, Despite the increment in the quantity of calls over the mobile phones, the local fixed lines have remained the most utilized tools of communication while the international calls are the ones with the lowest number.
