There are several times that I lose something valuable and one instance that I can vividly remember was my missing glasses story. It left me with an unforgettable impression.
On a gloomy morning when I was in grade 6, I lost my plastic glasses which my dad bought for me. Since I'm nearsighted, it's hard for me to see the words on the board or tiny details without them.
To be honest, I admit that's all my mistake. It happened when I hastily put all my school stationery and my glasses into my bag as I might be late for school. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to zip my backpack. Then my dad rode me to school by his motorbike, I sat behind him and still didn't realize any unusual things. After that, I arrived at my school and step by step walk to my classroom. Until I wanted to get some books and the glasses to review the current lesson, I found out that my glasses had gone missing. At that time, I was on edge actually because I was still a child and for me, it was extremely costly. Nevertheless, I tried to calm myself down and then I reliased that I hadn't lock my zip bag entirely, so I reckon maybe it had fallen somewhere on the road. I had got a memory like a sieve.
That afternoon, on the coming home way, I made my effort to seek it, but it seems as if I looked for a needle in a haystack.
I was down in the dumps and blamed myself for being sloppy. This terrible memory has always reminded me not to let the grass grow under my feet.
