The maps illustrate the new settlement of Happy valley center in 1982 and 2012 revealing what have changed and what have remained same. Overall, the Happy valley shopping center witnessed dramatic changes and was completely modernized into shopping mall during the time period; however, entertainment area and toilets appear to have been left undeveloped. Originally, there was a lake in the northeast side of the shopping center; nonetheless, in 2012, it was converted into furniture retail. The most noticeable addition was that a furniture retail was built by expanding the shopping center. Another major changes were that themed restaurants and food store are relocated in where were sport store, electronics store and furniture retail in the southeast side of the shopping center. Additionally, a parking lot was constructed in southeast side. There were few trees front of the lake. However, the entertainment and toilets remained same without being touched.
