The diagram illustrates the stages in life of a normal frog. Overall, there are 6 stages in total of a frog metamorphosis from frogspawn to mature amphibian.
To start with, female frogs always lay fertilized eggs in water, the embryo is provided nutrients inside in a short time; then, the eggs hatch into tadpoles. One tadpole experiences 3 steps to grow up and increase its size, the appearance of a tadpole looks more like a fish than a frog. Tadpoles live in water and use a grill to breathe. Afterwards, the tadpole starts to develop 2 tiny front legs, at this stage, the creature seems akin to a frog.
During the froglet time, tadpoles start to develop their lungs so they will be able to breathe out of water when they move on to the land, simultaneously, it begins to grow more hind limbs in order to easily move and survive in the dry environment. Then, in the second last stage, young frogs begin to grow their limbs and their tails become shorter. Finally, the frog's tail will disappear completely and their legs will entirely develop so that they can hop and hunt more effortlessly.
