The bar graph provides the percentage of both boys and girls getting good scores in different fields in 1960 and 2000. Overall, males were most interested in the sciences but now it is humanities whereas females liked the languages and this have not changed. Males were getting fewer grades in the arts and humanities but these percentages increased in 40 years to 20% and 42% respectively. The science and the maths have seen a decrease in interest from nearly a quarter to just 15%. However, there was no change in the languages it is resting at one-fifth. The science and the maths have not seen any significant changes in their grades for females as the combined percentage never crossed 20%. Arts, languages and the humanities were getting good grades in 1960 but there was a fall of percentages in every subject in 40 years.
