The bar chart compares the number of hours of males and females spending on both household and leisure activities. Overall, it can be seen that women spend more time doing household chores than men despite a reading activity. With regards to women, they tend to spend most of their time cooking which is equivalent to 15 hours per week, whilst men spend only about 9 hours. Also, number of hours cleaning the house goes to women which accounts for 5 hours compared to men having only 2 hours for that. Females do the washing up approximately 7 hours each week which is a huge number as opposed to men who spend only 5 hours for it. Besides this, it is clearly seen that both genders spend almost the same amount of time for reading. Looking at men, they spend most of their time on watching TV and surfing the internet which make up about 14 hours and a slightly more than 10 hours respectively. Moreover, males spend less than 5 hours on gardening, whereas females spend the least of their time.
