The pie chart provides information about the numbers of males and females taking a part in four evening courses at adult education center in 2009 and their ages. Overall, women were more likely to join all activities than men were, with the exception of sculpture. In addition, the participant ages were dominated by the oldest generation. In terms of courses, there was no wide gap between women and men participants in painting course, with only five difference points (30 people compared 25 people). The widest gender gap could be seen in language course which 40 women were reported participating in language course, and the number of men participants were only half as many as women were. Moreover, the number of women attending drama class doubled men, 20 people and 10 people, respectively. In contrast, male was dominated in sculpture class, which was 10 out of 15. Moving onto the age, the majority of course participants was older people up to 50 years old, which made up around two fifth of total participants. The age group of 40-49, which was in the second place, represented 26% of total participants. Furthermore, people aged 30-39 amounted to one in ten, which was approximately two times higher than the youngest category (5%).
