The given bar chart depicts the clothes expenditure of each person from various genders and generations per year from 1985 to 2005. Overall, there was an unchanged trend in the amount of money that boys spent on clothing, while the opposite was true for others. In addition, women tended to invest the most in their superficial items over the given period of time. In 1985, on an annual basis, there were roughly $100, just over $100, $300 and $490 in the spending on clothes of boys, girls, men and women respectively. While the figures of male teenagers extremely slightly increased by under $5 in 1995, this number remained the same in the next period. On the contrary, the girls’ fund allocation on clothes witnessed a gradual rise to around $130 in 2005. After significantly growing by approximately $100 in 1995, a marginal decline of about $20 was seen in the figure of men. With a different pattern, the women’s investment on clothing dramatically reached its peak at over $620 in the last year prior to fluctuating around $540 and $550 in the first two years.
