amount of people, separated by genders, in further education in Britain during three different periods nx0Kl
The line chart illustrates the amount of people, separated by genders, in further education in Britain during three different periods of time and split between full-time students and part-time students. The first point we can observe is that, regardless of gender, there has been an increase in the number of full-time students over the years. Secondly, the chart shows us that during that period, male students in part-time education have considerably increased in number, more specifically by 100 thousand. However, between 1980/81 and 1990/91 only a slight increase occurred from 850 thousand part-time students to 900 thousand part-time students. In contrast, when we look at women in part-time education, one can see the opposite trend demonstrated. During the same period, there was a big increase in the number of women in part-time further education of about 350 thousand. All in all, one can conclude that there was an increase in the number of women in both full-time and part-time education which means that they started to be the predominant gender with further education.
