The pie charts give information about water-consuming in six significant regions(North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia) globally for three purposes: industrial use, agricultural use, and domestic use.
It is noticeable that water used for agricultural work has the highest proportion in almost all six areas globally whereas water used for household work has the smallest percentage.
In central Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia, almost 90% of their water supply is consumed in food production, almost twice that in North America, which has greater use in the industrial consumption of water with 48% respectively. Similarly, Europe distributes over half of their water supply in their industries, at 53%, far more significant than the 5% and 7% rates in Central Asia and Africa, respectively.
At 71%, South America uses less agricultural water than the three areas (Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia) mentioned above. However, it has the highest percentage of water consumed for domestic work than the other five regions, at 19 percent.
