Uncover the Mystery behind 10 buildings and architectures copycat in China e3mLp
Maybe you know that China is a well-known copycat cultured country, but have you ever wondered what exactly they can do? Do Chinese copied-machine have secret abilities to repeat anything that exists on the earth? Yeah, if you follow us - Uncover the Mystery, you may have your answer. Today, we'll show you 10 of the most famous architectures copied by the Chinese. Let's go! 1. Paris, France Tianducheng, also called Sky City is a housing estate in the suburbs of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. This city is impressed by many people because of its architecture. Yeah, as you can see, it is almost like Paris such as shops, cafeterias, buildings, parks, flower gardens, etc. A photographer took a side-by-side photo to compare the differences between them, and guess what! 100% similar to the real one! Tianducheng also has the one-third mini version of Eiffel Tower which is 108 meters high. If you are in China and you don't have just an opportunity to come overseas, I can say you're a lucky man. Why? Because you don’t need too much money to pay a visit to Paris while having a fake version near you. 2. Tower Bridge of London, England Let move to the second construction copied by the Chinese: Tower Bridge of London. This architecture combines a bascule and suspension bridge. The bridge crosses the beautiful River Thames close to the Tower of London. The replica is called Suzhou Tower Bridge which locates in Suzhou city, China. You can say it's an exact copy on the first inspection. Yeah, my friend, please take a closer look. Although Suzhou Tower Bridge's just a copy, it also has some unique features such as cheap buildings with some shoddy-looking tower interiors. Moreover, it has 4 towers while the original only has 2 ones. Fake London Tower Bridge doesn't cross any river, but it was built on a road. The budget is about 11, 4 million USD. The most interesting fact is visitors will be served in a British-style coffee shop. I can see how excited you are, so just visit Suzhou if you can! 3. Golden Bridge, Vietnam How surprised that the next replica is from Vietnam because the Chinese always refuse to copy anything, especially from Vietnam. Golden Bridge is one of the attractive locations that you should come and experience in Da Nang city, Vietnam. At any angle, you can see the two giant hands supporting the curving bridge. This exclusive feature that nowhere in the world has until the Chinese decide: "Okay, we'll destroy your first unique ranking". Not to make anyone disappointed, The Rainbow-colored Bridge just took short time to build. It cradled in a giant hand has become the latest tourist attraction in southeast China’s Fujian. This bridge also received the Guinness record for being “The largest Buddha hand sculpture in the world”. Although The Rainbow-colored Bridge doesn't completely look like Golden Bridge, you can find those two have the same idea. 4. White House, United State Let's begin with another odd-duck replica: a restroom from China. Sure, you don't mishear here! The toilet has all the familiar elements of the Capitol — huge pillars, a balcony, and a Roman-style dome. The bathroom, occupying more than 4, 000 square feet, isn’t open to the public and is intended for the winery's staff and visitors. But this is not the only White House in China. There are nearly 10 government buildings mirroring the White House in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hunan, and Jiangxi provinces. Relax in the White House fake like a president. Oh, so unbelievable! 5) Hallstatt, Austria Welcome to the fifth ranking of copied construction! The replica of Hallstatt, a centuries-old village in Austria, opened in the Chinese province of Guangdong. The "made in China" version of the town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site, cost an estimated $940 million to build. The project was conceived by a Chinese mining tycoon and backed by Minmetals Land Inc. Some residents of the original Hallstatt, a town of around 900, made the journey to Guangdong to attend the opening ceremony held in 2012. Yeah, although it isn't the original, the Chinese version is still a charming place to visit. 6) Parthenon, Greece The Parthenon is a former temple dedicated to the goddess Athena on the Athenian Acropolis in Greece. It is the most important surviving Classical Greek structure. Its decorative sculptures are regarded as some of the pinnacles of Greek art. The Parthenon is regarded as an enduring symbol of Ancient Greece and one of the world's most significant cultural monuments. Ok, let move to Lanzhou now. Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province, used to be a major trading hub on the Silk Road, and it has finally managed to re-establish itself with a knockoff Parthenon. These are just one of many world wonders that the Lanzhou Silk Road Cultural Relics project has in store. 7) Monument Ali and Nino, Georgia One of the highlights of Georgia's Black Sea resort is the statue of Ali and Nino, a moving sculptural composition in Batumi Boulevard. Ali and Nino, two 8-meter-high transparent steel sculptures of a woman and a man, progressively flow through each other and merge into one. The monument is named after the novel "Ali and Nino" by Kurban Said, a well-known Azerbaijani author. If comparing it to the "made in China" replica, you can laugh stock. This copycat is called Flying Kiss theme park. The ride, which is billed as an "extreme" theme park experience, consists of two massive sculptures that stand above a 3, 000-foot precipice. The journey begins with both statues leaning down to the earth to take up passengers from a rooftop platform, with the dumb face of the man and the no-feelings face of the lady facing each other. The ride is based on a Chinese mythical love story about two lovers, and the great conclusion occurs when the two statues reach their highest elevation and ‘kiss. ' I wonder do they really fall in love with each other when having those emotions. Okay, let move to the next one. 8) Pisa Tower, Italy The first image that springs to mind when we think of a leaning tower is the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. However, a little-known fact is that China has a large number of such leaning skyscrapers. Because of the limit of time, we'll show you one of the most well-known replicas. World architects have dubbed Huqiu Tower the China Leaning Tower of Pisa. It is also known as the Yunyan Temple Tower and is located outside Changmen, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The 47-meter-high tower was constructed during the later period of the Five Dynasties (907-960 AD). It's a seven-story octangular structure made of blue bricks. The pavilion structure is extremely complex, and the color is stunning. The tower has gradually slanted over the course of over a thousand years as a result of natural forces. The top and bottom of the tower now differ by 2. 32 meters. Tianma Mountain's Huzhu Tower was built in 1079 in what is now Songjiang County, a Shanghai suburb, some 100 years before the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower is also octangular, with seven stories and a height of 18. 82 meters. It was made of bricks and wood. A survey of the structure about 20 years ago revealed that the tower body was seriously leaning to the southeast, about 2. 27 meters from its axle. The gradient has now reached nearly 7 degrees, surpassing that of the Pisa Tower. Although many dangers can be brought, the government still does nothing and just leave it like an attractive destination. 9) White Opera House Sydney, Italia The iconic roof of a Sydney Opera House welcomes a huge number of visitors around the world every year. That's why you can see many replicas outside Italy. One of those is in northeast China's Liaoning province. The Sydney Opera House-style building in Fuxin county's park, which is actually a lavish waterside restaurant, was exposed by media four years ago, and the local government was chastised for spending 1. 1 million yuan ($179, 072) on its construction. Quite frankly, this version may be among many the worst replica, with cheap-looking roofs. The sad news is the iconic roof structures had already disappeared in 2014 because local authorities blame severe leaks. Who knows what is the truth, but the fact that you can't see fake White Opera House Sydney anymore. How awful! 10) And series of other copycat architectures The Chinese attitude toward intellectual property has long been a source of frustration for Western manufacturers. However, it is not the result of disrespect; rather, it stems from a long tradition of choosing rote learning over original thought. You can call it is the Chinese copycat culture, and it's the answer to why many replicas appear in China. How many replicas are in China now? Oh, good question. Let's play a minigame: counting contest! Colosseum in Roma, Louvre pyramid in France, Ronchamp Church in France, Great Sphinx of Giza, etc. Oh, I guess we can continue this game until next year! So, time to end today’s video. If you know more information about the Chinese copycat, please share this with everyone. Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to like, subscribe to Uncover the Mystery channel, and share this video with your friends! We will surely bring more exciting and useful content next time, so please wait for us!
