Skills that I had recently learn aJEMP
Slide 1: Hey guys. Today I’m going to give a presentation and this presentation is about the skill I had recently learned. Slide 2: This presentation will be in four sections: skill I had learned, objectives, practice, and the other skill I may be would learn in the future. Slide 3 (01): So, the first one, the skill I picked up is photography. I started it a few months ago. I’m not so sure about what inspires me to do it, but I’m glad that I have started this. Slide 4 (02): This skill brings me growth and few benefits. I would say that it is more like benefits instead of objectives to me. Photography shares emotion, tells a story, and captures the personality of loved ones. The photograph is a good or even better way as well to share our stories with others too. As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words. ” In addition, we love photography because of the exciting moments. Photography is the perfect way to preserve one’s important milestones. Life is filled with great moments such as birthdays, weddings, graduations, anniversaries, and family vacations. By capturing a special moment in time, you can always remember it in crisp detail, even as your mental memories begin to fade. Plus, those memories will eventually become part of your history, perhaps even family lore. And they won’t just be passed down through stories; they’ll be passed down through images, too. Subsequently, it will improve our inner creativity and helps us embrace anything that surrounds us. You may try taking a photo of the same object every day. What you’ll find is, by spending time studying this object–a person, or a building, or a budding tree–you’ll find new looks, styles, and angles that accentuate it in different and more interesting ways. This kind of practice has a way of activating your brain and stimulating your inner creativity that makes life more interesting. Photography makes me much more observant and aware of the wonderful little things that surround me each day. It may be light, shadows, patterns, buildings. subsequently, I also realized meaningful things like connections, expressions, feelings, and especially the small mundane things that I want to remember. It has even gotten me to enjoy things that I didn’t love before. It makes me easily focus on what I doing. When I’m capturing the thing I want, I have to try to find the perfect angle, lightning so I have to focus on it to have the best picture I could have Slide 5 (03): I started photography on the internet. I learned and knew about photography from the Internet. I knew those parts and the function of the camera. I knew what to use for what kind of picture I want to have. And I will follow guide and advice that given by professional or experienced photographer from YouTube and other platforms too. Lastly, I will apply the things I learn to the real photos. Slide 6 (04): as we know, for the basic, drawing could release our stress, blanked our mind, and help us to be creative, for example, when we draw a line it may develop into a mouse or building pr certain objects. According to the research, drawing also makes us surer of ourselves, more confident, and less afraid to make mistakes. Drawing teaches us that many mistakes can be fixed and many mistakes are good because they help us discover new ideas. I used to learn piano and pipa. Pipa is a Chinese traditional instrument. Unfortunately, I have stopped the lessons due to the pandemic. As it is hard to have online lessons for piano. because the teacher can’t directly correct mistakes and show me the right way to play them. Usually, my teacher just grabs the piano from me and plays it adequately to let me feel her difference. But in online lessons, it's quite hard because I have to settle the mistakes myself and understand how I should correct them. Learning a musical instrument not only sustains and feeds the brain but also improves so many other cognitive and physical aspects of the human body. It's been widely studied and proven that learning a musical instrument improves memory; it not only improves your cognitive memory but also muscle memory as well. I think I would learn a certain new language. But I have no idea about what I going to learn yet as my absorption of learning is not that good. It is complex as learning a new language, we have to know the language culture, the grammar, when will the term be used, and so on. Hope one day I can learn it and can use and speak fluently in that language.
