Your friend wants to have a pet but his\her parents aren’t fond of this idea. L37kK
Dear Sabina, How is it going? I hope this letter will find you in good health and in high spirits. I’ve just received your letter, and I’m sorry to hear that your parents don’t let you have a pet. As for me, a pet could benefit the whole family. Fortunately, my parents greatly enjoy animals. You know how I like dogs. Besides, they are the best pets because dogs are loyal, faithful and reliable friends. Furthermore, I can’t imagine my life without my dog Jessica. She is not only my best friend, she is also our family member. As far as I know, practically every family in Ukraine has got a pet and the most popular among them are dogs and cats. Children also love to take care of small animals such as hamsters, guinea pigs, tortoises, goldfish and parrots. Some people are fond of snails, spiders or even snakes. Actually, I don’t support the idea of keeping wild animals at home because they might be dangerous. Besides, you can’t tame them so it might do more harm than good. I understand how you feel but I recommend that you shouldn’t argue with your parents but try to find out why your parents don’t want a pet. In my opinion, people do not want to have pets because they are afraid of responsibility on them. You should prove to your parents that you’re responsible. So if at first you don’t succeed, keep on trying, and good luck! I'm rooting for you because I know all the joy a pet can bring to your life. Sorry, I have to finish my letter now because I must walk my dog. Let me know if this was helpful. By the way, what animal do you want? Write me back as soon as possible. Send my best regards to your parents. Lots of love, Tori
