Hi dear Sara, I am really sad to hear about your dilemma at work. As you know I have a lot of experience regarding the issue and can offer you some wisdom. It made me extremely happy that you felt comfortable enough to share your story with me. There are lots of people who you could have contacted them for their consult. I am honored to be the one you choose to reach for. I truly appreciate your confidence in me and promise you that your words are safe with me. Since it is your first experience as a manager assistant, it is quit acceptable to feel challenged and even disrespected. Although Some tasks are not officially part of the job such as buying coffee or lunch as you mentioned in your letter, they are expected of an assistant to be done without nagging. Besides, a person doing such jobs are required to be available all week long and sometimes on the weekends. Therefore, it is normal to be called to work on Friday. All in All, I think you need to let go of your ego and do not think about what an assistance should or should not be asked to do. Simply do whatever your superior expects from you as long as it is morally right. I am sure after passing some time you are going to fall into a routine and be satisfied with yourself. Looking forward to hearing good news of your progress, Best wishes, Behnaz Yousefi
