Dear Ma’am / Sir, This is regarding a suitcase that I lost during transit when I was travelling from New Jersey to Pittsburgh. I enquired about it at the baggage counter when I failed to spot it on the conveyor belt. The staff there assured me that I would be informed about my luggage as soon as they received further details. It has been a week since and I have no other choice but to write to you. The suitcase is made out of brown leather and has wheels as well as a combination lock. It was purchased a year ago and I had attached an orange colored ribbon on the top handle for easy identification. The contents include a diary and some stationery, a few shirts and two sets of innerwear. I’d last seen it on the 27th of April, last week just before boarding the flight. The flight details are PNR 267PIT. I have also enclosed the baggage tag that came along with the boarding pass. Would you be so kind as to check if the suitcase has been found.
