Dear Sir, I am writing in respect of the advertisement circulated in the Lagos Times Newspaper to express my interest to contribute as a volunteer in your upcoming event. I have always been passionate about animal rights issues and as a result, I have taken a keen interest in your organisation. In this part of the world, little or no attention is paid to the welfare and conservation of animals but your agency has changed that by pioneering and championing the protection of animals both domestic and wild. Therefore, I thought it wise to apply for the volunteering role in the upcoming Stand for Animals event and also share some of my relevant experiences. I am a graduate of zoology and during my university years I interned at a zoo for 6 months, hence I am familiar with the behavioural pattern, preferred food and habitats of various animals, all of which are crucial to their survival. In view of this, I believe I am capable of the job. Currently, I work as a sales representative and I can use my marketing skill to further promote the event, hence more attention may be generated which will boost awareness and donations from well-meaning individuals toward your cause and ultimate goal. I look forward to your revert. Yours faithfully, Kola Benson
