Dear Mr. Singh,
I am writing this letter as I am disappointed with your decision of increasing the rent. My name is Hensy Patel and I am living at 9th floor of SkyLine, apt no. 911. I am your working tenant living here since 1 year and working as a Manager at Walmart. Me and other tenants living in the building received a letter from you last night about increasing the rent to 35%.
Well, every year you increase about 5% and no one complains you about it because we know that you provide us a better service. Unfortunately, this time it is not fair to increase the rent to 35% because it makes it 45, 000 a month. Usually, the average rent of the area is 30, 000 so none of the tenants will be willing to pay this high rent. I would like to advice you that you can increase the rent to 5% as the construction of building is getting older and there are several repairs which people do every other month.
After all if you still decide to increase the rent then I would like to break my lease and pay 5, 000 penalty as per the agreement. Not only me, there are several other tenants looking to do the same.
Hope you consider this matter serious and get back to tenants with some changes.
Yours Sincerely,
Hensy Patel
