Dear Grandmother, How are you? I'm doing great. I am really sorry that I couldn't come home to visit our family last week. I understand how much you would have expected for my arrival, but i have disappointed you. I really apologize for making you feel worried for not getting in touch with you recently and, also for not informing you over the phone. As I have already told you earlier, that my exams were going to start next month, I had some assignments to be completed which carried internal marks and, suddenly they have rescheduled the last submission date also. Because of which, I was busy and had to cancel the plan to visit home. However, to compensate for the missed visit and to make you more happy, I have decided to apply for leave next week, to stay at our house with you. I also wanted you to confirm if you have any other plans so that i can postpone or rearrange the visit some other time. I also decided to take you out for a short trip to Rameshwaram which you had been asking me for a longer time. Waiting to hear back from you soon. Take care. Best Wishes, Renuka
