Dear Brad, I am writing this letter to ask your permission to move to a different position in our company. I've heard about a new opportunity in our Research and Development department, and I am extremely interested in that job and will be more than happy if you allow me to apply for that position. In my present job I do repetitive tasks every day, and it feels like I am a robot who is programmed to do specific tasks only. I mastered all the aspects of the quality control position, and have nothing new to learn, consequently, my growth is completely stopped. I have a bachelor in chemistry and Chemical Engineering along with 2 years of experience as a research assistant. Therefore, if you would allow me to work in research department then can I learn more about chemical compounds, their physical and chemical properties, and most importantly their use in the food industry. Additionally, I will help our company to grow using my education and research experience. Yours Sincerely,
