Dear Sir / Madam, I am currently pursuing master in computer science at Harvard University. I am writing this letter to inform you about lost of new edition of C Programming Language book, which i borrowed from your library on 25th January for the period of 6 days. Yesterday, I was travelling from my university to home after attending extra class. It was late in the evening and the bus which I caught to travel, was full of passengers. When the bus dropped me at my destination, I noticed that my handy bag was not with me. My another two books along with the hired book were also in that bag. After realizing this incident, immediately I called the bus authority and explained this matter. They tried their best to search my missed bag on my up on request but unfortunately they failed to find out the bag. To fulfill my responsibility of returning the borrowed item on the given time frame, I am seeking your valuable advice in this regard. Either should I buy a new one and will return within few days or I am ready to pay the fine as per library's rule and regulations. I would be grateful if you could advice me to solve this situation. Yours faithfully, David Zane
