Dear Sir / Madam, I would like to bring in to your attention, current challenge that is being faced by college students. The problem is with regard to canteen services provided by the college. We have already raised this concern with the sanitation department of the college, however we have not got an appropriate response. The food that is being provided by the canteen staff is not edible, also the menu eludes vegetarian options. Many of my friends have been affected because of non-availability of vegan food. We have tried speaking to the canteen team along with college student head, but we were unable to arrive at a consensus. The owner has been rude to various people inside the college premises. The food area has not been sanitized or kept clean, due to which many students have taken ill and been hospitalized. A panic situation has been created and is affecting the overall morale of coming back to college after lockdown. We request the office to take necessary steps to arrive at a solution for the above. A few suggestions, requesting the existing caterer to add in veg menu, regular cleaning of the canteen area. Following covid rules to avoid any chaos within college premises.
