Some people say that all secondary and higher secondary school students should be taught how to manage money as it is an important skill. Do you agree or disagree with this argument?

In the contemporary era, there is a heated argument over the issue of money management as some people believe that it should be part of the school curriculum as it is an essential skill that child has to acquire. Undoubtedly, this notion remains successful in keeping the majority in its favor. However, the rest go averse it. The upcoming paragraphs will accentuate light on my perception along with apt instances. I see eye to eye with the central idea because of a plethora of reasons. First and foremost, to experience the real world, it is necessary for students to know about the value of money as it will aid them to reduce overspending habits. Consequently, it will help to reduce the financial burden on parents. To justify the same, there is an epitome from, “The Times of India”, the survey stated that around 58% of adolescents are involved in anti-social activities because of extravagance habit from the child. Additionally, teaching financial management skills will help to strengthen the bond between kids and parents as they will always be thankful to their guardians as to how much hard work; they are putting to nurture them to provide a good future. To substantiate, various interview was conducted with old age home people to know the reasons why they are here. After the investigation, it was concluded that the majority of people have never taught their child to manage money as a result they are not able to take responsibilities for their parents because they earn that much which will fulfill only their needs. On a final note, according to me, I understand that principles of managing finance can digress students from their studies as they will want to get more money, however, the right method of teaching can lead them to live sincerely, mature, and capable citizens of the future.
