Dear Sir, Thank you so much for talking to me over the phone this morning (Nov2nd, 2021). Just to re-introduce myself, my name is Sahid Sarkar, An ex student of UIT, batch 2002-2006 (CSE), Reg# 6261 of 2002-2003. I have been living in Singapore from last 9 years for my job. I wanted to do an Educational credential assessment (ECA) for my permanent residency in Canada. Since the Singapore border is closed, I am no longer able to travel to India right now and there is uncertainty with the reopening of borders. Considering the situation, I have appointed a third party organization called MailTranscripts so that they can process and collect the transcript on my behalf from the University and send it to the relevant party. Although, I have sent all the necessary documents to MailTranscripts, I received an E-mail from them yesterday saying, college is not ready to approve the transcript request to the University without seeing the original documents. I can understand this might be the procedure, but unfortunately, it is not possible and may be not the right thing to courier my original documents as it might get lost in between. The issuance of Transcript itself takes almost a month and then it has to travel to overseas. You can understand that the whole process is time taking. Had the flights been flying between Singapore and Kolkata, I would have travelled myself and sort this issue out. It will be of great help if you can look into the matter and approve the transcript request so that the process can be little expedited.
