To whom it may concern, From a young age, I've been immensely fascinated by the culture and heritage of the world. Every time I visited any tourist destination, I got awed by the fact that there was always something new to see and experience. I remember getting curious about visiting giant museums and historical places. That was when I started paying attention to how tourism and human activities were interlinked. After that point, my interest only surged in the subject, hence picking Tourism as my career field looked like a prudent option. Therefore, I decided to complete my bachelor studies in B. A (VOC) Tourism Management. I must confess that my studies have provided me with the comprehension of the “not so spoken” impacts of tourism industry. I also spent 2 months working as an intern with Cox and Kings and the experience provided me with the ability to handle clients and customers courteously regardless of what attitude they gave me. I have found the curriculum of Tourism Development & Culture MSc to be a perfect match to what I have been looking to explore in my post graduate. To study various semesters in different countries is given, but what urged me to apply was simply to be surrounded by great professors and leaders who will add value to the course. I am confident that the in-depth training of marketing and management of culture along with summer school exposure will equip me with the required skillset to work in the tourism sector anywhere in the world. Furthermore, as I have worked as a Coordinator at an NGO near my locality that funds education of abandoned children, upon receiving the prestigious Erasmus mundus scholarship, I will be able to drum up the local NGO using my international network of education and support the kids to incredible lengths. Apart from this, I really wish to contribute in educating the general public about the tourism challenges and communicating the urgency to take sustainable actions. Finally, the prospect of studying different aspects and cultures of tourism in this program appeals greatly to me. As a language enthusiast, I really hope to acquire fluency in other languages as well and share my knowledge with young minds. Studying tourism around a series of mobility periods across two years will not only help me gain international experience but also provide opportunities to foster social and educational growth in my country.
