Respected Madam With due respect, I Kavya Sood, student of class 11-E, is presenting a proposal offered by an organisation saafsaans. I was recently approached by this organisation. It is a student-based organisation that works for environmental cause. It provides students with a platform to volunteer and provides internship and a lot of certifications which is beneficial for any students’ career. Mr. Akshay, the Chief Executive Officer recently got selected in University of California, Los Angeles and volunteering for Saafsaans played a major role in his selection. This organisation opens chapters more like a sub organisation in the schools, they collaborate with. They have recently collaborated with Delhi Public School and Sri Venkateshwar International School and have received a great response from them and almost 70+ students volunteered for it. Saafsaans has 800+ members in its organisation till date. They have conducted 10+ walkathons and protests since 2019 and are continuing to do so even in online mode. They will be providing a great platform to our school students, and some might even get a chance to become a permanent member. If we introduce this in our school, then they will form a club in our school. They would conduct a zoom meeting with students to make them familiar with their organisation. They will talk about all the benefits a student can avail after being a part of it. They will provide students with a google form where the students choose if they want to become a co-president or if they want to volunteer. After going through the forms, they will select 12 co-presidents who will be the head of various departments. For e. g. - a student can opt for becoming a co-president for the department of News posts or Digital/Fine Artist or a Social Media manager, Content Creator for Blogs or Articles. The co-presidents will be able to avail more benefits. They will form an Instagram page called saafsaans. qvs where the work done by the students will be posted. This organisation is really looking forward to collaborating with our school. It will be really appreciated if the school management decides to take this forward. Please let me know about the decision take by the management so that saafsaans can send a formal invite to our school. I will be eagerly waiting for the response.
