Letter to a friend for missing the party

Hi Aftab, Heard from the grapevine your birthday celebration was a happening event. I am happy the party went well, and all who were present enjoyed it. I bet you missed me! Unfortunately, I was not able to join. I am really sorry for not being there. Since a week before the party, I was preparing myself and was very upset that I, will able to join. On the day I had my aunt come over. She stays alone here, and both her son and daughter reside outside the country. She wanted me to accompany her to the doctor for a check-up. I was not able to negate her request. This came up on the day, and I was embarrassed to inform you and spoil your mood. The day is gone; however, we will continue your birthday celebration. Next weekend let us plan either a trek or a movie followed by a lavish dinner. For dinner, let’s visit the Italian restaurant you love. Looking forward to meeting you and have a funfilled day.
