Dear Mr Toller,
The purpose of this letter is to announce my resignation from a waitress in the Crescent restaurant for personal reasons. I would like to explain my sudden decision.
To begin with, I am dissatisfied with the customer service, which was told to be excellent. Unfortunately, it is not the case, most of them behave unacceptably with us, waiters and waitresses. Also, the tables almost always are left in chaos and it takes a long time to clean them.
Furthermore, as you mentioned in the terms of working hours’ punctuality is expected. Despite our late shift is supposed to be over at 11 p. m. , we are never able to finish the duties before midnight.
Next, I was told that besides the official salary I can get the plus service charges. However, the tip pool money never allocated to me. I am not certain if there was a simple misunderstanding or I did something wrong.
Finally, I would like to highlight my opinion that a two weeks’ notice seems unfair for a six-week contract. While my contract requires me to work for three more weeks, I would be obliged if I could cease the work immediately. Also, I would greatly appreciate it if you could write a letter of recommendation for me.
