Dear John, Thank you very much for the invitation to spend Christmas with you and your family in Canada. I am excited about the prospect and have some questions I need help with.
Let me explain my situation. Given that this is my first time out of Nigeria, I would like to be prepared for any eventuality.
Firstly, I need advice on the kind of gift you think your wife might like. It would not do well for me to come empty-handed. The last time I spoke to her, she showed interest on the african prints I wore during the video call. Do you think this is something she would like?
Secondly, I would like to know what the current weather situation is saying. I want to know if I will be needing coats and long socks to protect myself from the elements.
Lastly, can you give me more information on the kind of food eaten over there. There is not much information on that over the internet. Are african stores available? What about african restaurants? Do they have an african market for purchase of food items? I am willing to learn the new culture during my stay there but adjusting to the food will take a while hence my questions.
Could you provide answers to the above questions. I am really looking forward to meeting you again.
My regards to your family.
Your friend, John
Dear John, Thank you
very
much for the invitation to spend Christmas with you and your family in Canada. I
am excited
about the prospect and have
some
questions I need
help
with.
Let
me
explain
my situation.
Given
that this is my
first
time out of Nigeria, I would like to
be prepared
for any eventuality.
Firstly
, I need advice on the kind of gift you
think
your wife might like. It would not do well for me to
come
empty-handed. The last time I spoke to her, she
showed
interest on the
african
prints I wore during the video call. Do you
think
this is something she would like?
Secondly
, I would like to know what the
current
weather situation is saying. I want to know if I will
be needing
coats and long socks to protect myself from the elements.
Lastly
, can you give me more information on the kind of food eaten over there. There is not much information on that over the internet. Are
african
stores available? What about
african
restaurants? Do they have an
african
market for
purchase
of food items? I am willing to learn the new culture during my stay there
but
adjusting to the food will take a while
hence
my questions.
Could you provide answers to the above questions. I am
really
looking forward to meeting you again.
My regards to your family.
