Dear Dave, It was so nice to hear from you. How's everyone back home? I'm so glad to know that you are planning a vacation with your family next month and want my suggestion for the destination. I'd be happy to help! In my opinion, you should definitely go to Singapore. I've been to the place a few times and I believe its the perfect place for a family holiday. You'd be spoilt for choice in terms of accommodation but we chose to stay at the Fullerton Bay hotel. I have to say it was the best decision we made, as the food was scrumptious, the service was impeccable and the location was just perfect. There are many attractions close by for you and your family to check out. The Singapore Botanic Gardens are just a 10 minute taxi ride away from the hotel and so is the Singapore Zoo. Both these places would make for a great family picnic spot. Then there's Gardens by the Bay where you can have an early breakfast and then stroll along the beautiful park inside it. And not to forget, the Universal Studios and Sentosa island which are fantastic choices for a full day out. Gosh! I can go on and on. However, the only minus point of the city is the weather. Singapore has a moderate climate all year round. Although it does rain in June when you guys will be there, the days particularly can get extremely hot. Of course, the evenings are pleasant again so I'd plan my excursions accordingly if I were you.
