Hi Kampi.
It's so great to hear from you after so long. I'm glad to hear that your global rotation was approved and that you'll be posted to our local branch in Lusaka. It will be great to have you closer by.
As you know, the capital is the best place to be if you want to be where things are happening, and you'll definitely get to experience that in Lusaka. It's known for the best nightlife and food countrywide. I'm not too familiar with the place but Kabwata might be a good place for you to settle down. It's quite close to downtown and a ride to there takes only about 10-15 mins compared to the hour long rides from other areas of town. And once in town, it's pretty easy to get anywhere else. Sadly, our public transport system sucks and the best way to get around is with your own car. That's the best way to avoid been stuck in traffic as you can take shortcuts through the place. Taxi's are available too but the fare costs an arm and a leg.
I'm sure once you settle in, it will be quite easy to make a few friends. Kabwata also has a few happening spots and so it should be fun over the weekends. I look forward to coming by once you come through. Let me know once your flights booked and you're heading in.
Can't wait to see you soon.
Love,
Alexa.
