The reading passage and lecture both discussed about live in other planets. The author of the passage states that it is possible for human to live in mars and moon. On the other hand due to the lack of living condition living on Venus is inhospitable. However, the lecturer challenges the author's reasons and proposes three reasons. First off, the author of the passage highlights that pressure on Venus is extremely higher than pressure at earth's surface. Not having been convinced, the lecturer points that base on physical facts, pressure are much lower at surface. So, based on those facts pressure at surface of Venus are more likely to be equal as pressure at surface of earth. In this case, there is no danger in order to land in Venus. Moreover, the author of the passage declares that Venus hardly contains water and oxygen and the planet's atmosphere include mostly carbon dioxide, sulfuric acid and nitrogen. On the contrary, the lecturer asserts that although compound materials such as carbon or sulfuric acid contain at Venus, by using chemical process we can provide amount of water and oxygen. Finally, the author of the passage contends that there are dense clouds on the Venus's atmosphere which block the sunlight reaching the surface and limited the use of solar energy. By marked contrast, the lecturer does not approve of author's third reason and say that clouds in that areas are not very thick that sunlight can be reflect and get to surface. Therefore, cells can collect enough sunlight and use for electricity.
