The diagram explains how paper that has been used is processed into recycled paper. Overall, there are four different stages, from mixing used paper with a combination of water and chemicals to turning the pulp into actual reusable paper.
To begin, scrap pieces of paper inside wooden crates are mixed with water and chemicals to turn it into unfiltered pulp, which then goes through the filtration system transforming it into filtered pulp which only consists of pulp and ink.
Following this, with the help of air, water, soap and an array of chemicals the unfiltered pulp is separated from the ink residues making it into cleaner pulp.
In the subsequent stage, clean pulp is set down on a conveyor belt which goes through three heated rollers. This part of the process forces out the remainder of the water within the cleaned pulp. Finally, recycled paper is produced and rolled into rolls of recycled paper.
