It is irrefutable that technology has been improved in the last few decades for the betterment of society. Some gadgets, however, are believed to be having more demits than merits. Mobile phone being considered one of them has impacted our social life in many ways. I, however, disagree that our social interaction is reduced due to cellphones. In the following paragraphs, I will present arguments in support of my answer. First and foremost benefit of mobile phones is that they enable us to contact our near and dear one's from anywhere in the world and at anytime. The invention of phones was to overcome difficulties caused by conventional methods of communication such as posts and telegrams. These ways of passing messages used to take much time and delay in reaching message at destination results in loss of its significance. Secondly, many social networking websites and applications such as facebook, whatsapp, twitter helps us widen our friend circle. We also stay in touch with our school and college friends and keep getting updates on what is happening in one's life. Indeed, people are not as socialable as they used to be but the main reason for this trend is our work schedule due to which we do not get enough time to spend with others. People who claim that technology is responsible for the present situation believe that mobile phones consume most of the time of people. After returning from work or college, people remain glued to their mobile or laptop screens. Their feeling is also not wrong as some people use mobile phones extensively and forget about everything, even their familis. Family members should take responsibility to persuade their loved one's to spend time. It is commonly said that a family that eats together and prays together, stays together. All in all, the access to technology actually helps man to become more socialable. Thus saying that it is impacting our social life is not a correct statement to agree on. Although, excessive use of technology will have detrimental effects for sure. Thus everyone should know how to divide their time and use it effectively.
