People have different opinions on whether pictures and videos from crimes provide enough proof or other pieces of evidence are required. Although the visual clues facilitate the process of criminal recognition, I think more evidence is needed for making final decisions. On the one hand, some commentators believe that the visual images provide the crime investigators with undeniable evidence to condemn the criminals. Thanks to CCTV's availability all around the cities, the police force can easily track down crimes and survey the streets to make sure that a crime was committed. Unlike those used to be manipulated in the past, the new version of cameras provides quality pictures and videos with transparent pixels to zoom in and out, so they can patrol the crimes and distinguish the criminal's faces proof to prosecute them. Camera and pictures, therefore, are enough for the judge to put the criminals behind bars. On the other hand, some people believe that a lot can be inferred from the way pictures and videos depict the crime. They argue that, like what we see in crime movies, the professional delinquents can design the site to mislead and confuse the investigators by adding some artificial actions on the area that the camera captures or hack the cameras. Therefore, these people believe that other substantial evidence should not be neglected, like prior intentions and time factors. For example, I watched a movie that the low breakers who intended to rub a bank hacked the leading CCTV and disrupted its function for a couple of hours. When they vacated the bank, the CCTV started recording again while there was a time gap that the staff was not aware of. When they found out that the bank had been rubbed, they started checking the videos and accusing the passengers who looked suspicious and had a long criminal record. Finally, this man was incarcerated for several years in prison. The big mistake that they forgot to check was that there was no correlation between the time the condemned man entered the bank and the time the bank had been rubbed. In conclusion, although technology has facilitated many areas in our lives, and finding crimes is also no exception, I believe that other evidence is required to ensure that neither the pictures and videos tampered with nor the cameras are hacked.
