Some people believe that technology has made man more social. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Technology has given a great boost to the communication using the social media in the recent years because of which some even claim that people are being more social due to such developments. However, I opine that, even though technology has made a way for easier communications, the interactions in social media has sabotaged our social skills and face to face communication. To begin with, it can be agreed upon that technology has obviously made communication easier, but it does not imply that the people are being social. Social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on has made it easier for people to express themselves, talk to the family and friends, and to be in touch with the people constantly. Nevertheless, it has actually made people less social as people do not want to involve in face to face communication and do not converse with people, rather they would talk to only people they want to talk to on these virtual media.
