single-sex school vs mixed school

single-sex school vs mixed school GL9Vj
In the present era, the issue of whether single-sex schools are more beneficial for students than coeducational schools has been engendering large controversy. Some parents contend that segregated schools would benefit their kids in many ways; still, others assert that mixed schools can foster various social skills. Personally, I prefer the first opinion for the following reasons. One of the most remarkable advantages of single-sex schools is the amount of distraction which is much less than in the other type of schools. In gender-based schools, students do not have to draw their attention to the opposite gender's opinion about how they look or how they speak; accordingly, a better educational environment is obtained. Moreover, in single-sex schools students do not suffer from the danger of discrimination. For example, some male teachers in mixed schools have the disposition to treat female students better than their male peers which result in reducing their educational attainments. the High confidence which has been gained through joining single-gender schools is another reason to hold this idea. Studies have shown that students of these educational institutes are characterized by more confidence which would benefit them in their professional careers. In contrast, students in co-ed schools may have more chances to be consistently exposed to the other gender; thus, they earn more social skills in real life. Although it seems a great positive side of coeducation, both genders can meet and interact outside the school which means it is not an important factor. A good illustration of this is even though allocating time and effort for studying is indeed essential, individuals in mixed schools tend to divert their attention and time toward the desired outfit for the other gender. To conclude, choosing an appropriate school could be vital for children's future. Although both single-sex and mixed schools are providing numerous benefits, separate schools are more beneficial in many terms such as confidence and educational attainments.
