Free public transportation is continuing to be a controversial topic. Numerous people opine that it is a solution for controlling a traffic jam. I totally agree with the aforementioned statement because it cuts off numbers of cars, and reduces also car accidents on the road. To begin, a root cause of traffic congestions in urban areas is a huge number of private vehicles, as a lot of commuters prefer to use it for their daily routes. Nonetheless, one begins to travel by public transports if it saves one’s money. A good illustration of that is Germany, which fully involved this system by 2020. As a result, figures showed that the number of private cars decreased doubled. Hence, dwellers decide to use public transport instead of privates. Moreover, it leads to drop a percentage of crash accidents on the road. That is to say that for an inexperienced driver will be easier to hit a road that is not overcrowded. For instance, in India, roads are fully crowded so, for beginners, can be difficult to tackle/drive safely. Although, free transportations impose the government on additional costs, for example, modernizing transportation hubs, increasing the number of trains, altering current schedules, and finally, providing the facilities in the busses, subways, and others. There are countries, which are able to support financially it, but for the developing counties, in the current stage may be difficult to implement it. In conclusion, I support the idea of free public transportation as, consequently, numbers of traffic conjunctions and car accidents fall down.
