If you are going to graduate from the university and have to choose the final course, which professor will you choose; the one whose courses you used to sign up for or the one you have never learned from before? qL1l5
By and large, having interred students to the University, they encounter a plethora of setbacks since great changes from their school habitats and educational system. One of the great changes is that they should choose courses among various presented professors. This decision becomes much complicated in the last course for graduation. So vital this issue that the graduation and results effect on their future. In this case, what attitude should be used on choosing the professor are controversial. Many are of vantage point that students should choose the professor with whom students have courses before, while others believe that the new professor is much beneficial. I firmly concur with the first view and, in what follows, I will delve into two corroborative reasons to support my ideas. First and foremost, the reason why it is a prudent course of action to choose a familiar professor lies in the fact that students can get a high grade for their last course. Professors mostly have a particular method for their class and teaching and also the way for evaluation of students. When students know the professor and have experience regarding their teaching and evaluation method in other courses, They know which parts of their teaching method act as the vine of their evaluation and the final grade. Therefore, they focus on these parts in order to get a higher grade in the course. Taking my experience as compelling evidence of this issue, five years ago, when I was in my master's degree, I sign up for multiple courses with Professor Akhlaghi at Ferdowsi University. I know the method of his teaching and how he evaluates students for the final grade. He taught the material of course in detail and insisted on some parts that I know might be in the final exam. Besides, the assignments had great weight in his final grade, although he admitted that assignments were not mandatory. I always got the top grade from Professor Akhlaghi. It goes without saying that students who want to get a higher GPA should chase the professor which they know the teaching style, and how they evaluate the courses. Another equally important reason is that it provides an opportunity to get a job by his/her recommendation. When students sign up for multiple courses with a specific professor, He/she knows the students for sure, which leads to creating a strong bond and relationship with the teacher. In contrast, never do students who get bad grades sign up for another course of this professor and never have had a good relationship with this students. Therefore, students who used to get courses from a particular professor gain good grades, not necessarily the top ones. Taking the previous example, professor Akhlaghi and I have a good relationship with each other, and I always got advice during my bachelor degree. He also offered the teaching assistant job for one of the courses that I got one of the top grades. It is axiomatic that the more courses students have with the professor, the strong link they have. Therefore, they can get a good recommendation from the professor for their future job or their next degree' plan. Since this course is the last one, the professor can recall the student's activities well and write a valuable recommendation. Having analyzed the aforementioned notion, one can assuredly deduce that students should take their final course with a familiar professor. That is because not only getting a high grade becomes much viable, But also students can get a superb recommendation for their next plan.
