Extra-curricular activites in student's life give a child an opportunity to explore his likes and dislikes apart from academic exercises during schooling days. In this essay, I would provide relevant illustrations to support my above statement by discussing advantages of such actions. Initially, extra-curricular actions are as vital as books for overall development of a young mind. Students who participates in such activites scores good grades in exams. Books give the relevant knowledge around the topic, on contrary, kids learn to manage time, construct organisational skills and enhance self-confidence. For instance, chess teaches a child how to manage time and lay strategy to defeat the king on other end. Additionally, students participating in sports activities learn teamwork and develop leadership qualities which will be beneficial to them in their lifespan. It provide aid to commit themselves to a particular thing they are involved in. Students involved in Cricket, Soccer, Basketball showed characteristic of a leader and an evolved sportsmanship. These exercises along with academic challenges are utmost important in a young minds advancement. Students involved in any extra-curricular activities graphed their future than the students who are totally into books. In conlusion, it is necessary to give time to books while studying additionlly I believe students should also involve themselves in extra academic activities to enhance not only in grades but physically, mentally too. These changes will be beneficial for them in their future challenges what life is going to put in front of them.
