Although villas and apartments have similarities due to their residential nature, they also differ for a number of reasons. The first difference to notice is their price. Although they may be similar in size, the price of a villa house is usually higher than that of an apartment. A villa house is a standalone house; however, an apartment is a part of a large building. Another difference between these two types of houses is the yard. In a villa house you have your own yard, but in an apartment, there is only a parking lot, which is also shared. A villa house contrasts with an apartment in regard to investment. Investing on a villa house is much more beneficial than an apartment. The return on investment is particularly high for a villa as the land prices rarely depreciate. Customization is a big difference. Although both types of houses can be customized, the customization of an apartment is much more limited compared to a villa house. In an apartment you can change the interior space, but due to its predetermined structure, it is not possible to expand it. However, a villa house can be customized easily. Furthermore, safety is another issue. In terms of security, it can be said that an apartment is superior to a villa house. To confirm this, we can mention the population density as well as the presence of guards in residential complexes.
