The line graph represents the information about the consumption of meat and poultry by the people of the U. S. A from 1955 to 2012. Overview, the utilisation of beef was the most popular meat among the population of the U. S. A. In contrast, turkey was the least preferable meat by Americans. However, in the end of the period, broilers became the first choice of the residents of America. In detail, the amount of US beef consumed by the average American accounted for 58 pounds. It was followed by pork with 50 pounds per person. In 1961, there was a minor downward blip in intake of beef. From 1961 to 1973, it continued to surge gradually and went to 80 pounds. In 1976, it reached at its peak point, which was exact 90 pounds per Capita. Suddenly, a slight decline was experienced in the eating of beef. From 1979to 1986, this figure remained constant. From 1985 onwards, a dramatic fall was seen in this figure. However, during the same period, US pork consumption was followed a fluctuation trend. In the end of the period, it reached to about 42 pounds per person. Moving further pork of just about 19 pounds was consumed by Americans. This figure rise continuously till 2007. Afterward, there was a slight decline. It reached at its lowest level. Whilst, the Americans consumed turkey of approximately 5 pounds, which was the least figure. Furthermore, this figure remained below 20 pounds as a whole.
