Writing task 1, bar chart and pie chart RVL0p
The bar chart illustrates the percentage of adults studying for various reasons and the pie chart compares the division of costs between individuals, taxpayers and employers. The data has been collected from a survey of adult education. Overall, most of the people decided to study because of the fact that they are interested in the subject and also to gain qualifications. Whereas, very few of them joined only with an intention to meet new people. Looking at the costs, maximum amount is considered to be covered by the individual and almost equally by the employer. With regards to the survey, 40% of the adults started studying because they are interested in the subject and 38% to gain qualifications. Almost equal proportion of people which is around 20%, joined with the idea of improving the prospects of promotion, helping them with their current job, or just the fact that they enjoy learning. However, very few people wanted to be able change jobs or meet new people with figures at 12% and 9% respectively. Focusing on, the costs, they believe that individual costs should be 40% of the total and employer needs to cover 35% of the total amount, which is a mere 5% less than that of the individual. In addition, 25% of the costs should be shared by the taxpayers.
