I am entering the most crucial phase in my life; a phase during which I need to make significant academic decisions that will have a bearing on my future life and career. After thorough introspection of my strengths and interests, I have concluded that a program that integrates Business studies is the most appropriate choice for me. “I am applying to the Business Administration in the Undergraduate program at Arizona State University because I believe my business Skills will blossom at your program as it is a place where I will be challenged to develop skills which will enable me to function in different roles with a solid foundation. ” My father and my late grandfather have been in the business of making “hardware tools” for the past 50 years, despite my young age, I used to visit his factory. When I started college, I started accompanying him to meet his clients. At times, to get more orders, I would also persuade them to give us bigger orders. All this is why I feel that I have found myself having the call for business, especially Marketing and Management ever since I remember. With recent advancements in communications technology, the business field has been revolutionized, with new opportunities and new potential pitfalls. With the globalization of business, the success or failure of international marketing campaigns is undeniably a powerful factor in the success or failure of modern companies. The Program at Arizona State University has great emphasis on management, analytics, economics, accountancy, marketing, and advertising. The techniques are accordingly advanced and well-established in the USA. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to be guided by exceptional teachers who have shown firm belief in me and have supported me in participating in several inter-school and intra-school competitions such as debate, quiz, talent hunt, PowerPoint presentation, fashion show by the Rotaract club of Hassaram Rijhumal College, drawing, painting in Melange and Immaculata (events organized by 2 different colleges), elocution by the All for kids ( an institution that trains students for courses of Trinity College of London). I have been awarded at many of these competitions and have always performed to my best possible level. I have also been a member of the school Band and have contributed to it as an opening bass player since 6th grade. Throughout my School years, I have maintained a good academic record and have tried to gain as much knowledge as I could. I have scored well in my exams and I was in the top 10% of my class in my 10th board with 94. 8%. I have recently given my IELTS examination and have scored band 7 in it. During my first and second years of Junior College at Jai Hind College, I have realized my potential of being a true leader and organizing everything efficiently. I have organized many junior college events. I have displayed good team working skills and have enjoyed working with a large number of people. I like to socialize and learn from other people. I believe that learning is an unending process and there is no age or no reservation of any kind to learn something. I am motivated and passionate to work hard and enjoy the company of people around me. Apart from academics, I have always been good at sports since a very young age. I have represented my school at various Inter-school, Intra-school, and district levels at throwball and volleyball tournaments. I have received 10 medals and 7 trophies for my performance in these sports. I am also an excellent bass drum player and have been an opening player since my 6th grade for important and special school functions on Annual day, Republic day as well as Independence day. I have also participated in other sports activities such as swimming, carrom, discus, javelin, long jump, sprinting, table tennis, and badminton. I have always been passionate about sports and despite a rigorous curriculum I have tried to find time to indulge myself in different kinds of sports. Apart from academics and participation in sports I have also been a member of various clubs inside and outside my school - Gymkhana, Youth Wing of Rotary Club Bombay, Hanging Garden, and The Pransukhlal Mafatlal Swimming Bath & Boat Club Trust. I have also volunteered at an old age home at the Alexandra old age shelter, Tata Memorial Hospital for cancer patients, planted trees on world Environment days, and Terry Fox. I have also given various examinations such as Elementary and Intermediate, UNSW Global, Spelling bee, and also received a merit certificate in computer science and a distinction in geography and science. I have chosen to apply to your University’s Undergraduate program, specifically, for various reasons. The modern business world demands professionals with an understanding of different cultures, languages, and attitudes. In my view, pursuing a degree at ASU is the ideal way to broaden my horizons. I am eager to enter Arizona and take advantage of the extensive resources and learn from the renowned professors. Moreover, I am convinced that the Business Course at Arizona State University has a unique position and is perfect for my short and long-term goals. The customized curriculum, the flexibility of the program, and the focus groups would effectively improve my overall business skills as well as help me stand out in the current corporate world. Studying alongside inspired individuals from all across the globe through this Program, getting the perspective of the industrially relevant studies, and being mentored by the prominent faculty would ensure that my time spent at Arizona State is in continuation of my experience and studies rather than a detour. And while I aspire to gain my dreams by completing the Undergraduate Course from your esteemed university, I look forward to giving back in equal measure. I feel confident that my past education and the Business Program at Arizona State University will prepare me for the demands and challenges that I will inevitably face, and I am eager to begin studying at your university so that I may prove myself.
