The majority of the tourists often flock to the most famous destinations known in the country they are touring and consequently crowding the area which few would intentionally walk through pathways that are closed for the general public and leaving the area deformed. Additionally, they usually went to parks or heritage sites to enjoy their meal where most of the time they forgot to collect their rubbish afterwards. For instance, the Luneta park in the Philippines known for the memorial site of Jose Rizal, is one of the most popular sites with a number of street sweepers assigned as backpackers are always leaving their rubbish in the area. If they would bring with them their leftovers instead of throwing it around the area, this would have helped save and preserve the beauty of the park. 146 Some possible solutions to this problem are guiding tourists and imposing rules and regulations on every tourist destination. This is by providing them a map of the location they could visit which ought to instruct them on the allowable pathways they should use and follow, and provide them an area on where they could enjoy their meal. Moreover, presenting fines for every wrongful action will remind them to be mindful of their actions whilst enjoying their holiday. Therefore, it would educate them to be responsible and accountable for their movement. To illustrate, most museums implemented a plentiful amount for travellers who would be caught snacking and messing around the locations banned for them. If they do not want to pay a huge amount of fines, they should be conscious of their every action. 145 To sum up, the influx of travellers to well-known destinations are damaging and polluting the places. However, this can be eliminated if we follow the designated pathways and abide by the rules imposed as part of our contribution to save our home planet. 43
