Three maps about the changes in Meadowside Village and Fonton between three different periods of time

The maps beneath illustrate how Meadowside village and Fonton, were developed between three different periods of time (1962, 1985 and the present). Overall, a great transformation can be seen over the years, being Meadowside at the beginning an undeveloped area separated from the city and then an expanded zone with several new constructions. Firsly, a lack of development in Meadowside can be observed. The village was totally secluded from Fonton, having only a small road running through it from southwest to the northeast, while Fonton had a rail line running through the northwest to the southeast of the city. Subsequently, during 1985 there was a huge transformation in Meadowside. The most noticeable additions were the leisure center, housing state and super-store, as well as a new paved road connecting Fonton with the village. The leisure complex was located in the northeast, opposite to the housing state, whereas the super-store was located down the housing estate crossing the road. Currently, the land has been expanded and Meadowside is now a suburb of Fonton. There is a new train station and therefore a new rail line that connects with the old one and goes to the city. A hotel and a business park have been built next to the train station, being the hotel on top of it and the business park underneath.
