These pictures illustrate the steps involved in the production process of tomato ketchup. There are 15 stages in the diagram, from picking tomatoes to using ketchup in many kinds of food such as hamburger and fries.
The first step is that the tomatoes are picked by the farmers and put into basket. Next, the farmers sort the tomatoes to avoid bad ones, then they send them to the factory via lorries. Once removed stalk and seeds, the tomatoes are then put in containers in order to be crushed. After being added sugar, vinegar and salt, the containers are boiled.
Having been left for two hours, the ketchup is then poured into bottles. Each ketchup bottle has to be labelled and quality-examined before being packed into boxes. Finally, the boxes are shipped to supermarkets where they will be bought and taken home for daily usage.
