In addition, it was a remarkable fluctuation. The number of people who vote for thriller films plummeted for 2003 and 2008, with merely under a half and a third respectively, however, it was still the type with the most Oscar winners. In contrast, there was a rocket in the action film's Oscar winners from about 20% in 2003 to approximately 33% in 2008. With the remaining types of films were science fiction, romance, documentary, horror, and comedy, all of these witnessed tiny oscillations. Science fiction, romance, and documentary saw a slight increase. On the other hand, there was a minimal decrease in horror films. The percentage of comedy maintained the same level in 2003 and 2008.
