The three pie charts indicate the proportion of US music album sales divided into 5 genres (Jazz, Country, R&B, Rock, and Alternative) in the years 2008, 2009, and 2010. In general, it is clear that all the patterns of 3 years seemed not to have so much change. Rock was the most common music type followed by Alternative and Rock from the beginning to the end. Meanwhile, Jazz and Country were the least popular over the span of three years. Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that Rock and R&B had the same pattern in the first two years, remained stable around 39% and 22% relatively. However, Rock had a slight change in the final year, increasing by 1% compared to another, which shrank to just under 20%. In terms of Alternative and Country genres, both had little changes over years. While the first one decrease by 3% in 2008, before staying the same till the last year, reaching 20% in total, the Country genre seemed to rise gradually 3% each year and accounted for approximately one fifth at the end of the period. There was not any change for Jazz, although remained stable throughout the years, this type of music was the last choice for people at this time.
