The tables given below provide information about the revenue generated from the Fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in 5 European nations. The figures are given in millions of euros. At a first glance, we can observe that countries like the United Kingdom and Switzerland have earned the highest amount of revenue by selling coffee and bananas. UK has experienced a humongous boom in sale of coffee from 1. 5 million euros to 20 million euros. Sales in Switzerland have also doubled from 3 million to 6 million euros. Other countries like Denmark, Belgium and Sweden have experienced a comparatively bleak rise in sales from 1. 8 to 2 million, 1 to 1. 7 million and 0. 8 to 1 million Euros respectively. When we consider bananas, Switzerland takes the top spot. It has managed to boost its trade from 15 million to a massive 47 million euros, a rise of more than 300%. It's followed by UK, which has also experienced a substantial increase in revenue generated from 1 million to 5. 5 million euros. While both Belgium and Denmark have a slight increase in sales, Sweden on the contrary, is the only country where the revenue generated from banana trade has decreased from 1. 8 million to 1 million euros. Overall, almost every nation has showcased positive trends, but countries UK and Switzerland have maintained their domination.
