The table shows the number of international tourist arrivals (in thousands) in various countries in 2009 and 2010, together with the percentage change in these numbers. GLW5e
The given table illustrates the changes in the number and the percentage of overseas visitors travelled to myriad countries in two years: 2009 and 2010. Overall, it is apparent that there was an increase of international tourists arrival in most countries, except in Hong Kong. Another noticeable feature is that most figures had the number of tourists higher, the changes of the percentage slower. In detail, the figure for Germany is the most remarkable feature, with 109% changes in the number, increasing more than doubled from 10 thousand to 24 thousand. Despite having higher data than that of Germany in each year, China and Turkey rose slowly, with 55% and 33% respectively. In addition, the number of visitors travelled to Italy, UK, Spain and USA much higher, ranging from 40 thousand to 70 thousand, but it increased slightly by about 1 thousand and just under 4% after one year. By contrast, the data of Hong Kong followed the opposite trend, decreasing from 10 thousand to 9 thousand, equaling to 11% over the period. Moreover, although the number of visitors visited to France was the highest in both years, it still remained at 76 thousand.
